For Tutors

A college degree and/or current college enrollment is required. Tutors must also have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and pass a clean background check.

Tutors with experience are highly preferred.

The School Coaches matches tutors with families for the remainder of the scholastic year. Once you're matched with a family, you'll work with them to create a schedule. Families expect a minimum of one regularly scheduled session per week of at least one hour in length.

Rates vary based on tutor experience, needs of the student, and level of service provided. In most common cases, tutors can expect to be paid $45 per hour of tutoring performed.

The School Coaches does not provide any materials to tutors. Tutors should bring their own materials to sessions or work with students on material provided by the school.

All families expect a minimum of one regularly scheduled session per week of at least one hour. Most tutors do between 1 to 10 hours per week.

The interview process has two steps. The first is a screening phone call, and the second is an in-person interview. After the interview process and a clean background check, you're eligible to be matched with families!
